It is located in Manunggal Jaya Village, Tenggarong Seberang District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. This community service program aims to develop the area's agrotourism potential through training for tour guides. The community service program was held in October 2025 and involved members of the Community Development Group (POKDARWIS). The method used in this community service program was the discourse method, question-and-answer sessions, and hands-on practice. During the tour guide training, participants were provided with the knowledge and skills to identify tourism potential and create storytelling about tourist attractions, including traditional games, local culture, and edutourism activities. The results of this community service program demonstrated knowledge and skills in identifying tourism potential and in tour guiding, which are expected to enhance the tourist appeal of Kampoeng Sawah and provide economic benefits to the local community
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 @edutourismhttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1758Manajemen Pengunjung dan Daya Dukung Pariwisata Pada Situs Petirtaan Jolotundo Mojokerto2025-12-09T07:35:37+07:00Moh Agus Sutiarso[email protected]I Nyoman Arto Suprapto[email protected]
Visitor management is a key component of tourism destination management, particularly in ensuring environmental sustainability and cultural preservation at Petirtaan Jolotundo, a heritage site of significant historical value. This qualitative descriptive study examines site managers' efforts to implement visitor management, identifies the challenges encountered and the solutions developed, and determines the site's carrying capacity as a basis for regulating tourist flows. Based on observations, stakeholder interviews, and carrying capacity analysis, the study found that managers have improved various supporting facilities, including rest areas, gazebos, toilets, parking spaces, and food stalls, and have also maintained the heritage structures routinely. A 24-hour operational system has also been adopted to accommodate community rituals that occur at specific times, ensuring that cultural practices continue smoothly. However, several obstacles remain, such as the absence of trained local guides, limited diversification of complementary attractions, and a low level of understanding of sustainable tourism principles among the community and visitors. To reduce pressure on the core heritage zone, the study recommends restricting visitor numbers—especially in the main pool—implementing a zoning concept to separate entry and exit routes, and better regulating visitor movement. Carrying capacity analysis indicates that the physical capacity is 286 visitors per day, the real capacity is 101 visitors per day, and the practical capacity is only 38 visitors per day. These findings highlight the need for more precise and targeted visitor management strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of Petirtaan Jolotundo as a cultural tourism destination.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 @edutourismhttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1459Peran Pemangku Kepentingan (Stakeholder) Dalam Pengembangan Desa Wisata Cibeusi Jawa Barat Berbasis Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) 2025-12-09T12:36:18+07:00Yulianandaris[email protected]Annisa Primanty[email protected]
One strategy to boost the local economy, strengthen cultural identity, and preserve the
environment can be optimised in the development of tourism villages with contributions from
stakeholders and development carried out using the Asset-Based Community Development
(ABCD) approach. The ABCD approach emphasises the identification and utilisation of local
assets, such as natural resources, culture, and local wisdom, as the basis for sustainable
development. By adopting the ABCD approach, the focus is not only on providing financial
assistance but also on encouraging active community participation in identifying and
developing their assets. This allows for a stronger sense of ownership and long-term
sustainability of the tourism village development programme.
This study aims to determine the role of stakeholders in the development of Cibeusi Tourism
Village based on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). This study uses a qualitative
method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews,
documentation, and digital audiovisual material.
This study concludes that Cibeusi Village has assets and natural resources with great potential
to develop into a tourism village. Furthermore, it is hoped that, through synergy among
companies, local communities, and other related parties, the development of tourism villages
can be implemented more effectively and provide sustainable benefits and impacts for all
parties involved.
2025-12-09T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Yulianandarishttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1472Planning for the Unexpected: Crisis Management Practices in the KARETA Event at Medan Tourism Polytechnic2025-12-09T12:37:54+07:00NOVA IRENE SITORUS[email protected]Muhammad Khadry[email protected]Ngatemin[email protected]Dhea Delvhia[email protected]Samuel Natanael Panggabean[email protected] Miladdia Putri[email protected]
Crisis management in the organization of educational events has become a strategic issue that requires well-structured planning to anticipate potential disruptions that may affect the smooth execution of the event. This study aims to examine crisis management planning practices during the KARETA (Kampung Kreasi Kita) event at Medan Tourism Polytechnic, as a form of experiential learning implementation. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The primary focus of this research is to identify how crisis management planning, execution, and evaluation are carried out by the event organizers, comprising students and academic supervisors. The findings reveal that, although the organizers are not the direct cause of the crises that may arise, they bear full responsibility for managing the impacts, ensuring the safety of participants, and protecting the institution’s reputation. The study also found that effective crisis management planning involves risk identification, the establishment of an emergency response team, and the implementation of clear and structured communication strategies. These findings highlight the critical importance of preparedness within tourism vocational education, where field-based practices often present real-world challenges that require quick and competent managerial responses. The implications of this study emphasize the need for the integration of crisis management into the tourism education curriculum and the strengthening of students’ capacities as future professionals capable of responding to unexpected situations in an effective and professional manner.

2025-12-09T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 NOVA IRENE SITORUShttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1474Transformasi Kain Jumputan sebagai Daya Tarik Wisata Edukasi Menuju Pariwisata Berkelanjutan2025-12-09T12:41:05+07:00Rizki Ummiati Manurung[email protected]Ummasyroh[email protected] Munparidi[email protected]
Jumputan fabric, as one of Palembang's unique cultural heritages, has high historical,
aesthetic, and educational value. Unfortunately, the passage of time and the lack of cultural
learning media have led to Jumputan fabric being less well known among younger generations
and tourists. This study aims to design an educational tour package that can transform
Jumputan fabric into a tourist attraction that is not only entertaining but also educational and
contributes to the preservation of local culture and sustainable tourism development. This
study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model as the design framework. Data were
collected through direct observation, interviews with managers and craftsmen, questionnaires
for potential tourists, visual documentation, and literature reviews on educational and
sustainable tourism. The design results produced three types of tour packages (schoolchildren,
university students, and the public) that offer hands-on learning activities, including creating
jumputan motifs, dyeing, and fabric drying. Interesting educational itineraries complement
these packages and involve MSME actors and the surrounding community as facilitators for
the activities. This design shows that culture-based educational tourism not only increases the
destination's attractiveness but also creates economic opportunities, strengthens cultural
identity, and raises tourists' awareness of the importance of cultural and environmental
preservation. Thus, transforming Jumputan fabric into an educational tourist attraction is a
strategic step toward supporting community-based sustainable tourism.
2025-12-09T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Rizki Ummiati Manurunghttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1488Inovasi Kemasan Kue Tradisional Palembang Sebagai Cinderamata Eksklusif2025-12-09T12:46:57+07:00Dea Putri[email protected]Ummasyroh[email protected]Alditia Detmuliati [email protected]
This research, titled "Packaging Innovation of Traditional Palembang Cakes as Exclusive Souvenirs," aims to enhance the appeal and market value of traditional cakes as distinctive regional souvenirs by addressing the main issue of outdated packaging designs that do not effectively represent Palembang’s cultural identity in a visual and informative manner. To solve this, the study proposes packaging that is aesthetically appealing, practical, functional, and rich in local cultural values, using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) with data gathered through field observations, interviews with business owners, and validations from design experts and consumers. The findings show that the new packaging successfully highlights Palembang’s identity through visual elements such as songket patterns, local icons, regional illustrations, and cultural colors, while also being safe, practical, and supportive of product marketing. This packaging is considered a more representative and informative souvenir alternative, and the study concludes that such design can strengthen the image of local culture and improve the competitiveness of MSMEs, with a recommendation to maintain design quality and develop packaging variations for other product types to better meet market demands.
2025-12-09T12:44:02+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Dea Putrihttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1734Analysis of the Effectiveness of Integration of Halal Tourism and Creative Economy in Increasing Local Income in Padang City2025-12-09T12:57:53+07:00Erizal Candra Efendi[email protected]Ruri Mustika[email protected]Wildan Hadi[email protected]
This study focuses on the integration of halal tourism and the creative economy in Padang City, aiming to explore its impact on local income and community development. The research examines how creative economy actors, particularly in the culinary, craft, and fashion sectors, adapt their products and services to meet halal tourism standards, and how these activities are incorporated into the overall tourist experience. Additionally, the study investigates the role of institutional support and cultural values in facilitating sustainable economic growth through tourism. The purpose of this research is to identify the level of awareness and adaptation among creative actors, evaluate the effectiveness of integration strategies, and uncover challenges and opportunities in maximizing the economic benefits of halal tourism. The study employs a qualitative field research approach, combining interviews, direct observations, and document analysis to collect detailed data from creative economy actors, government officials, and relevant stakeholders in Padang City. Thematic analysis is applied to interpret patterns, identify obstacles, and assess the outcomes of integration between halal tourism and creative economy activities. The results indicate that integration of halal tourism and creative economy initiatives significantly increases local income, enhances tourist engagement, and strengthens collaborative networks among actors. Culinary and craft sectors demonstrate the highest adaptation to halal standards and active participation in experiential tourism activities. However, challenges such as inconsistent standardization, limited access to resources, and insufficient training remain for some sectors. Institutional facilitation, community collaboration, and cultural support have proven crucial in addressing these challenges and optimizing economic outcomes.
2025-12-09T12:57:10+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Erizal Candra Efendi; Ruri Mustika, Wildan Hadihttps://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/edutourism/article/view/1696Pembuatan Paket Wisata di Kampung Sawah Zwageri Borneo Desa Manunggal Jaya Tenggarong Seberang2025-12-09T13:19:06+07:00Fahriza Junizar[email protected]Anton Nurcahyo[email protected]Sabalius Uhai[email protected]Rini Koen Iswandari[email protected]Gia Puspita Mokodompit[email protected]Galuh Yeni Maisaroh[email protected]Said Keliwar[email protected]Muhammad Fauzan Noor[email protected]Novita Indriani[email protected]
Kampoeng Sawah' Zwageri Borneo’ is an agrotourism destination in Manunggal Jaya Village,
Block H, Tenggarong Seberang Subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan
Province, Indonesia.
