https://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/kreatif/article/view/1372

This study aims to redesign the frozen food sales outlets in Surabaya to improve efficiency, function, and buyer appeal. The problems identified include limited storage space, difficulty in mobility, and unattractive product layout. The research data used in this study used a mix method, which included interviews, questionnaires, documentation, literature data such as journals and websites, field observations on frozen food sales activities by sellers, then the data was analyzed by researchers using needs analysis to find out how sellers need to fulfill their sales processes. Case studies were conducted on two sources, namely Shita Frozen Food and Fressh Frozen in Surabaya, to understand the specific needs in carrying out sales activities. The results of the analysis showed that the current commercial facilities were inadequate in terms of storage capacity, ease of use, and effectiveness of product layout. The proposed redesign includes the use of lightweight but sturdy materials, the application of knockdown and portable systems to facilitate mobility, and a more attractive display design. Based on the analyzed data, it can be concluded that the commercial facilities can carry 4 styrofoam which can accommodate 140 packs of frozen food, 2 baskets, 1 seller chair. And the trading facilities have dimensions of length: 156 cm width: 104 cm height: 200 cm. This design is expected to provide functional and aesthetic solutions that support the operational activities of frozen food traders while improving the consumer shopping experience.
Vidyatama EkaputraMoch. https://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/kreatif/article/view/1443

Temanggung Regency is known as a tobacco production center, yet it currently lacks a signature souvenir product that utilizes the uniqueness of local materials such as tobacco leaf production waste. These discarded leaves, which are not selected for cigarette manufacturing, are abundant and can cause environmental pollution if left unmanaged. This project aims to design fashion accessories such as a card holder, clutch, and mini bag as distinctive souvenirs of Temanggung by using laminated tobacco leaf waste, while representing local identity and cultural values. The design challenge focuses on how to create products that are functional, aesthetic, and reflective of Temanggung’s uniqueness, including the Wiwitan Tembakau tradition. The method used is Material Driven Design (MDD), involving exploration of material characteristics, technical experimentation, and product development through model studies and user evaluations. The results show that laminated tobacco leaves offer sufficient flexibility and strength to substitute conventional leather for small-scale products. Material thinning and reinforcement are essential to achieve neat construction and user comfort. The final products not only fulfill practical and aesthetic needs but also communicate local cultural narratives through their visual and philosophical design elements. This project demonstrates that tobacco leaf waste can serve as a sustainable alternative material that strengthens regional identity and opens opportunities for developing a local wisdom-based creative economy.
Jocelin Amanda HalimMarcellino Aditya MahendraCentaury Harjani

https://ejurnal.polnes.ac.id/index.php/kreatif/article/view/1494

Cendana Evelyn NataliaDita AndansariDitha Nizaora

The military embargo imposed by the United States and its allies made it difficult for Indonesia to obtain spare parts for imported defense equipment. In response, Indonesia aimed to develop its own defense industry through local products such as the Pindad armored vehicle. However, this vehicle does not yet have an engineering variant intended for Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW) in Indonesia’s tropical forest terrain. This study aims to redesign the Pindad armored vehicle into an engineering variant equipped with a bulldozer blade and excavator arm. The methods used include scenario-based analysis through the Scenario-based Requirement Analysis Method (SCRAM), based on interviews with experts at PT. PINDAD and users from the Indonesian Army. The Plus, Minus, Interesting (PMI) method is also applied to support decision-making. The design shows that adding a bulldozer system at the front using a semi-universal blade, combined with an excavator system at the rear with a digging bucket, improves the vehicle’s performance in muddy terrain and dense vegetation. The conclusion indicates that the redesigned Pindad armored vehicle can serve as an alternative domestically produced combat vehicle suited to MOOTW needs in Indonesia’s tropical forests
Muhammad Zaky Al GhifaryGhia Tri JayantiHandayani Madania InsaniMuhammad Diaz Perdana Putra
