Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun mesin pemisah tandan buah sawit bertenaga motor diesel dengan kapasitas 100 kg/jam. Latar belakang penelitian adalah rendahnya efisiensi proses pemisahan manual yang hanya menghasilkan 20–30 kg/jam. Jurnal ini menguraikan perlunya peningkatan teknologi pemisahan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan mengurangi biaya tenaga kerja dalam produksi minyak sawit. Ini membahas perhitungan mekanis dan elemen desain yang diperlukan untuk membuat mesin yang dapat mentransisikan petani dari proses manual ke proses yang dibantu mesin, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi. Mesin menggunakan motor diesel 7 HP, sabuk V tipe B56, dan poros baja S40C Ø30 mm. Metode perancangan meliputi perhitungan daya motor, dimensi poros, jumlah sabuk, putaran pulley, pasak, bantalan, dan kekuatan rangka. Uji coba dilakukan tiga kali dengan hasil 1610 g, 1750 g, dan 1640 g per siklus, setara kapasitas total 100 kg/jam. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada efektivitas proses perontokan dibanding metode manual
