Abstract
One strategy to boost the local economy, strengthen cultural identity, and preserve the
environment can be optimised in the development of tourism villages with contributions from
stakeholders and development carried out using the Asset-Based Community Development
(ABCD) approach. The ABCD approach emphasises the identification and utilisation of local
assets, such as natural resources, culture, and local wisdom, as the basis for sustainable
development. By adopting the ABCD approach, the focus is not only on providing financial
assistance but also on encouraging active community participation in identifying and
developing their assets. This allows for a stronger sense of ownership and long-term
sustainability of the tourism village development programme.
This study aims to determine the role of stakeholders in the development of Cibeusi Tourism
Village based on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). This study uses a qualitative
method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews,
documentation, and digital audiovisual material.
This study concludes that Cibeusi Village has assets and natural resources with great potential
to develop into a tourism village. Furthermore, it is hoped that, through synergy among
companies, local communities, and other related parties, the development of tourism villages
can be implemented more effectively and provide sustainable benefits and impacts for all
parties involved.
