Abstract

This study aims to analyze the damage to the Hydraulic Control Valve (HCV) in the Lift and Tilt system of the Caterpillar 950 Wheel Loader unit. Damage to this component can affect the performance of the hydraulic system, directly impacting the machine's productivity and efficiency. The methods used in this study include visual analysis, pressure measurements, and inspection of related components such as hoses, valves, and fluid distribution systems. The analysis results reveal several primary causes of damage, such as wear on seals, leakage in hydraulic pipes, and failure of the spool valve, which can disrupt the optimal flow of hydraulic fluid. This study provides recommendations for maintenance and replacement of certain components to ensure the hydraulic system operates efficiently and prevent further damage to the Wheel Loader unit.
