Jurnal Inersia Polnes
Jurnal Inersia Polnes is a scientific journal published biannually, specifically in April and November. Established in 2003, the journal aims to serve as a pioneering platform for the dissemination of scientific research in the field of Civil Engineering in Indonesia. As a national publication medium, Jurnal Inersia Polnes plays a vital role in providing a forum for researchers, academics, and practitioners in Civil Engineering to share up-to-date and relevant scientific information aligned with advancements in the field.
Over the years, Jurnal Inersia Polnes has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of its scientific publications. The journal is currently in the process of preparing for national accreditation as a recognized scientific journal. Various strategic efforts have been undertaken to meet the accreditation standards, including improving the quality of submitted manuscripts, strengthening an objective and transparent peer-review system, refining editorial governance, and optimizing journal management through an electronic platform (Open Journal System/OJS).
These efforts reflect Jurnal Inersia Polnes’ dedication to upholding academic integrity and publication excellence, as well as its aspiration to become a credible and widely recognized publication medium within the national Civil Engineering community. Moving forward, the journal remains committed to maintaining and improving its standards by publishing cutting-edge research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and professional practice in Civil Engineering in Indonesia.
Scope
Jurnal Inersia Polnes accepts manuscripts from the field of Civil Engineering Science and Development with an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Structural Engineering
- Transportation Engineering
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Water Resources Engineering
- Road and Bridge Engineering
- Building Materials and Structures
- Construction Technology
- Earthquake Engineering
- Highway Engineering
- Surveying and Geo-Spatial Engineering
- Urban Drainage
Publishing Process
- Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts along with a separate title page as shown in the author guidelines.
- Pre-review: The submissions are reviewed by the editorial board to assess whether they are:
- Prepared according to the author guidelines,
- Compatible with the journal’s scope,
- Qualified for potential publishing.
- With Editor: Submissions meeting the initial criteria are forwarded to an editorial board member for review of ethical concerns, misconduct, redundancy, and plagiarism.
- In Review: At least two qualified reviewers are assigned to conduct a thorough review. Additional statistical review may be conducted if necessary.
- After Review: Review reports are shared with the authors. Based on these, the editor decides whether to accept, reject, or request revisions.
- Revision: Authors submit revised manuscripts with detailed responses to each reviewer’s comments.
- Decision: The editor evaluates the revised manuscript and makes a final decision, possibly involving another round of review.
