Editorial Responsibilities

Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Inersia Polnes holds final responsibility for selecting articles for publication. This decision is based on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus, as well as evaluations from peer reviewers. Editors are also guided by applicable legal regulations concerning defamation, copyright, and plagiarism, and may consult with other editors or reviewers when appropriate.

Fair and Impartial Review
Editorial decisions are made without consideration of authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political ideology. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on academic merit.

Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff are required to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Information may only be disclosed to individuals directly involved in the review and publication process.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information obtained through submitted manuscripts for their own research purposes without the explicit written consent of the authors.

Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer reviewers provide critical assessments that support the editorial decision-making process and assist authors in enhancing the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback.

Timeliness
Reviewers who are unable to complete a timely review or feel unqualified to assess a particular manuscript should inform the editor promptly and withdraw from the review process.

Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and may not be shared or discussed with others unless explicitly authorized by the editor.

Objectivity and Constructive Criticism
Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and well-substantiated feedback. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant literature that has not been cited by the authors and notify the editor of any significant similarity or overlap with other published work known to them.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Any privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors or institutions associated with the submission.

Responsibilities of Authors

Reporting Standards
Authors must provide an accurate and objective account of their research. Manuscripts should include sufficient detail and references to permit replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are considered unethical and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared, where feasible, to make such data publicly available. Authors should also retain their data for a reasonable period following publication.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure the originality of their work. Any use of the work or words of others must be appropriately cited or quoted.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable. Authors should not publish redundant accounts of the same research in multiple journals.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Authors must properly acknowledge all sources that have influenced the reported work and ensure accurate citation of previously published materials.

Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All contributors meeting these criteria should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the research involves hazardous materials or procedures, or the use of human or animal subjects, authors must clearly identify these risks and ensure compliance with relevant ethical standards.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of their work. All sources of funding must be acknowledged.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works
Authors who discover significant errors in their published work are obligated to promptly notify the journal’s editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the article as necessary.
